Frank Cecil Oliver, 89, of Clarksburg, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the VA Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born in Shinnston, WV on May 8, 1921 the son of the late James B. Oliver and Erma Bartola Oliver. Mr. Oliver is survived by his wife of 58 years Ann B. Tonkovich Oliver whom he married in August of 1952. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons; Frank C. Oliver II and wife Beverly of Clarksburg and John J. Oliver of Nutter Fort; two grandchildren; Jennifer Cogar and husband Michael of Clarksburg and Michelle Oliver of Clarksburg; and one sister; Erma Pelegram of Morgantown and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters; Lugra Marra, Ann M. Oliver, Dale Delvero and Antoinette Sauro and four brothers; Paul Oliver, James Oliver, Joe Oliver and William Oliver. Mr. Oliver was a graduate of WVU in 1947 and worked as a Pharmacist for Adamston Drug Store and Selby’s in the 1950’s and 1960’s. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Army Air Corp during World War II, where he served in Japan during the Pacific Theatre. He loved his garden and loved to play cards. Mr. Oliver was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Stonewood.
