Frank was born and raised in Denver. He lived in Denver his entire life except for time spent in the Pacific during World War II.
Frank attended Annunciation Catholic School from first grade through graduation from high school. Here he met Charlene McLellan, who would later become his wife.
Frank enlisted in the Army during World War II. He served in the Philippines and New Guinea.
After returning home from the war, Frank and Charlene reconnected. They were married in 1947. They enjoyed a marriage of sixty-five years until Charlene died in 2010. They were each other’s best friends and wonderful parents. Frank and Charlene had three children; Peggy, Patty, and Dan.
