Francois Polidori passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017, born in Corsica France in 1926.

His long life’s journey began attending Military Academy during WWII, after which he was stationed in North Africa, then transported to the US on a Liberty ship as part of a Free French detachment to train as a Fighter Pilot in Alabama.

He met his future wife, Claire, at the French Air Mission attached to the French Embassy in Washington, DC.

Married in Montreal, QC, Canada, he completed his Electrical Engineering degree and was employed with Canadair Aerospace.

In 1959, he was transferred to the Boeing Corporation in Seattle, Washington, to support the development of the US ICBM national defense program.

Re-located to Vandenberg AFB, CA, he supported the execution of the Minuteman program and the RLSP star war missile intercept initiative.

The advent of the Apollo program brought him to New Orleans, in 1965, supporting Saturn S1C First Stage development and manufacture in Michaud, La.

In 1967, at Kennedy Space Center, FL, he was involved with the Saturn first stage pre-launch processing and firing room launch operations for the Apollo Moon Program.

He closed out his Boeing career, working the Peacekeeper ICBM and the Shuttle Program Inertial Upper Payload stage, retiring at 62.

Survivors include, wife, Claire Polidori, sons, Robert, spouse Brittany, Andre, spouse Shirley, daughter, Francine, grand-children, Adelaide, Madeleine, Elisabeth, Kelle, Dawn and great-grand-child, Makayla.
