Francisca Lydia Avila, 72, of Parma, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015, at home with family at her side.
Francisca was born on December 2, 1942, to Primitivo and Anunciada Yanes in Peoria, Arizona. She met Antonio Avila in Arizona. They later married in 1968 in Sonoita, Mexico. They moved to Parma, Idaho and had eight children – three sons and five daughters.
Francisca was employed at the Parma School District for 35 years. She started her work there as a teacher’s assistant which encouraged her to continue her education.
Francisca also enjoyed working at Walmart in Caldwell. She considered all of her coworkers as an extended family. She was exceptionally happy for the support they provided her during her illness.
Francisca Avila is survived by her children, Antonio Avila, Jr. and Christa Pearson, Meridian; Criselda Avila and Corey Freddrick, Homedale; Ayesha Avila and Hugo Salinas, Parma; Cirilo P. Avila and Jesse, Parma; Myrna Avila, Boise; Asiria Avila and Cesar Triana; Caldwell. Also surviving is a sister, Alicia Corral, Georgia; her brothers, Eliseo Yanes, Texas; Jose Luis Yanes, Arizona; Jesus G. Yanes, Arizona; Ricardo P. Yanes, Arizona. Francisca and Antonio Avila were also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Francisca was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Carlos G. Yanes, her husband, her son, Antonio Avila, III, and her daughter America Avila.
Francisca may be remembered for many things. She will be remembered for her love of the outdoors, her love for reading James Patterson novels specifically, her joyful play with her grandchildren and her passion for education.
