Norwich – Francisca A. (DaLuz) Rodrigues, 90, of Spruce St., beloved wife of the late Belmiro M. Rodrigues, Jr., was called home, Saturday morning August 1, 2015 at the Orchard Grove Rehabilitation and Care center in Uncasville after a lengthy illness. Born in New Bedford, MA, on January 6, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Joaquim and Antonia (Rocha) DaLuz.
On December 29, 1948, in Oakland, CA, she was united in marriage to Belmiro M. Rodrigues, Jr., who died on December 19, 2006. Mrs. Rodrigues spent the majority of her married life living in Norwich.
Francisca worked for many years at the Wm. W. Backus Hospital as a dietician and later as a presser at Westgate Cleaners until her retirement.
