NORTHFIELD, VT – Francis William Roux, Sr., 88, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020, at the hospital in Lakeland, FL, with family by his side.
Francis was born on September 24, 1932, in Northfield, VT, son of the late Frederic and Fern (Spooner) Roux. He is the cherished husband of his wife Jeannette (Larose) Roux, whom they have shared 58 years of marriage.
He loved airplanes and attended air shows as often as he could. Francis attained his private pilot’s license and built and owned several airplanes with his brother Roger. He enjoyed flying them with family and friends at the nearby airport. Truly a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Francis was a hard worker but always made time to be home for his children.
His surviving famliy members in addition to his wife Jeannette, include his children Peter Roux, Paul Roux, Charlene Bellavance and husband Dana, Francis Roux and wife Julie and Leonard Roux; eight cherished grandchildren; brothers Andy Roux and wife Marie and Roger Roux and wife Linda; he was the brother of late Robert Roux, Eugene Roux and Irene Berno.
