Francis W. Keller, 89, of Grand Rapids, Wisconsin, was called to Heaven to be reunited with his loving wife Elaine, on Friday, September 23, 2022 at his home.   She preceded him in death on Sunday, February 20, 2022.  The two had been married for over 68 years.

Fran was born on November 15, 1932 to Edward and Alma (Fandrich) Keller in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.  After he graduated from high school, he served in the Wisconsin National Guard and then became a route driver for Glebke’s Dairy in Wisconsin Rapids.  After that business closed, he drove school bus including morning and kindergarten routes and weekend trips for Safeway Bus Company.  He was also hired as a custodian for the Wisconsin Rapids Public School District.  He finished his career as the head night custodian at Lincoln High School.

Fran truly loved and was deeply devoted to his family.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and being with family and friends.  His family meant “all” to him.

Later, when they had finished raising their family, Elaine and Fran enjoyed Walmart and Shopko shopping trips along with driving around town to rummage sales and getting the good buys on the things they thought they needed or wanted.  Their vehicle was usually packed-full with the buys the great shoppers found.

Francis is survived by his daughter: Lori Enerson of Nekoosa, WI; sons: Mike Keller of Onondaga, MI, and Jon (DI) Keller of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; son-in-law: Larry Scholze; grandchildren: Jamie (Rueben) Ambruster, Sarah (Jason) Enerson, Nikky (Tyler) Enerson, Brad (Amanda) Scholze, Beth (Andy) Roginski, Jennifer (Joey) McQuinn, Jessica (Matthew) Corn, and Lisa (Nathan) Coates; great-grandchildren: Morgan (Tyler), Isabella, Kennedie, Alexis, Gauge, Mason, Colin, Aubree, Kendall, Max, Taedym, Landen, Allyson, Gracin, Xander, Sophia, Emercin, and Kalvin; great-great grandson: Braxtynn, who has been known as “Buckshot” by grandpa and then his name was changed again by grandpa to “Bucky.” Braxtynn and grandpa enjoyed smiles all the time.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine; his parents; son Phillip; daughter Kathy; and son-in-law Daniel Enerson.

The family would like to thank Dr. Denise Kniprath of the Aspirus Doctors Clinic and the nurses and CNAs from Aspirus Home Health for the wonderful care they provided for Francis.
