FITZGERALD, Francis N. 86, of Middleton MA, passed away on December 30, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Flynn) FitzGerald; son Barry and his wife Patty, of Danvers MA; son John and his wife Karen, of Middleton MA; daughter Maura and her husband Bill, of Swampscott MA; grandchildren Jake, Julie, Sarah, Caitlyn, Ashley, Dylan, Andrew, and Calum; great-grandchildren Emily and Robert; many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews; and numerous dear friends. He was predeceased by siblings Kevin, Pat, Aileen, Jack, Jim, and Betty. Frank was born in Revere, MA on July 22, 1930 to Rita and Francis FitzGerald. He graduated from Marist College and Seminary in Bedford MA in 1948. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree at Salem Teachers College, Frank began his distinguished career in education in the Revere Public Schools. In 1956 he married Patricia and they moved to Burlington, MA where he became Principal at the Pine Glen School and then Vice Principal at the Burlington Junior High School.
