Francis L. Kennedy, 76, of Centralia, passed away Wednesday, July, 12, 2017.
Francis was born August, 7, 1940 in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, the son of L.B. Kennedy and Opal (Wilson) Kennedy. He married Deanna (Shaw) Kennedy and she preceded him in death on May 30, 1987. He later married Sandra (Meadows) Kennedy on August 10, 1996 in Sandoval, Illinois and she survives him in Centralia.
In addition to his wife of 20 years, he is survived by one daughter: Lisa (Kennedy) Redman and husband Bob of Centralia; four sons: Stacy Kennedy of Centralia, Mark Sears and wife Jennifer of Bedford, Indiana, Logan Sears and wife Sara of Evansville, Indiana and Jerry Black of Jonstown, Colorado; one brother: Bruce Kennedy and wife Kim of Kingston, Tennessee; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; cousin: Katie Thornton and Chuck of Colombia, Tennessee; dear friends of over 40 years: Dwight West and wife Peggy of Odin, Illinois; father-in-law: Larry Davis of Sebastian, Florida.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents: L.B. and Opal Kennedy; wife: Deanna Kennedy and one brother: Harry Kennedy and mother-in-law: Judy Davis. Lloyd worked in several professions in his life, mostly in finance. In his younger days he was an avid Sportsman and was most proud of obtaining his private pilot’s license.
