Frances Louise Lintner, 92, of Three Oaks, Michigan died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at her home with her loving family. Frances was born March 27, 1916 to Frederick and Mary (Wood) Klute in a farm house south of Three Oaks by Spring Creek.
After her mother’s death from childbirth complications, Frances was raised in Three Oaks by her aunt and uncle, Edith and Henry Low. She was a 1934 graduate of Three Oaks High School, and on August 24, 1935, she married Harland Frederick Lintner of Galien. She was engaged in the care of her home and her two sons. She worked several years at the Lintner Chevrolet Sales after they were grown. Frances sewed cancer dressings for Three Oaks Township for 15 years, succeeding Lois Beeson.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling, china painting, attending Camera Club, Book Club, and playing Bridge with her friends. She was a charter member of the Child Study Group, which later became the Three Oaks Community Service Club. The Service Club founded a Loan Closet which loans hospital equipment to those in need of temporary assistance. Frances was an active member of St. John Church all her life, serving as Past President of the church for many years and was a member of the Woman’s Fellowship Group.
Survivors include her son, Jack Lintner and his wife Linda, of Coldwater, Michigan; daughter-in-law, Donna Lintner of Three Oaks; grandchildren, Karrie Lintner, Nelson Jr.(Kelly) Lintner, Bradford (Carrie) Lintner, Ryan (Laurie) Lintner, and her great grandchildren, Candyce, Chelsea, Frances, and Maia Lintner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harland, in 1982; her son, Nelson in 1996; granddaughter, Mary in 1999, and by her sister, Ruth Hoober in 1996.
