Francis L. Sabo, Jr., of Burlington City, passed away Tuesday August 21, 2018 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly at the age of 83. Born in Camden, NJ he was a longtime Burlington resident. Francis was a veteran of both the United States Coast Guard and the NJ Army National Guard, serving for over 27 years in the Coast Guard and Coast Guard Reserves and an additional 12 years in the Army National Guard.
He also worked in the HVAC field and had retired as an HVAC Instructor for the Burlington County Institute of Technology in Westampton. Francis was very proud of his military service and was a member of both VFW Post 3020 in Delran and American Legion Post 39 in Roebling. He was very active; he enjoyed spending time at the YMCA where he met many people and made a number of friends. He also enjoyed raising and caring for orchids. He was predeceased by his parents, Francis L., Sr. and Reba (nee Taylor) Sabo.
He is survived by his wife Carol Henry, his sister Margaret “Peg” Janson, his son Eric Sabo, his daughter Vickie Sabo, his daughter in law Kim Sabo, grandchildren Michael A. and Lauren A. Sabo. He is also survived by his sisters in law and their spouses; Jackie (Sean) Rocks, Robbin (Joe) Kientzy and Eileen (Darin) Klingberg as well as many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
