Francis L. “Louie” Martinez, 63, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and friends on Saturday, April 21, 2012, in his home. He was the husband of Joanne (Noga) Martinez. They were married for 30 years, this past Feb. 6. Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Frank and Caroline (Miller) Martinez. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force, during the Vietnam War. Louie worked as a steel manufacturing supervisor for Phoenix Tube Co., in Bethlehem for 17 years. He was also the owner/operator of the Linden Hotel in Allentown. He was a former parishioner of Holy Infancy Catholic Church and was a member of the American Legion. Besides spending time with his family, Louie enjoyed the outdoors, and loved to go Kayaking in his yellow and orange kayak. Survivors: in addition to his loving wife, he will be sadly missed by his daughter Heather LeeAnn Hughes and her husband Christian; grandson Tiarnan C. Hughes all of Red Lion; daughter Megan Louann Martinez; sister Pam Myers and her husband Lee all of Bethlehem; brother Frederick Martinez and his wife Kiersten of Erie.
