Francis Isaac “Butch” Garringer, 75, of Anderson, passed away after a long battle with cancer on March 19, 2020 at his residence.
He was born on January 9, 1945 in Anderson, where he resided most of his life. Butch graduated from Anderson High School, and then served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Guide Lamp Division of General Motors, and retired from Fisher Body. Butch’s pride in joy was his family especially playing and spending time with grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Connie (Pickett) Garringer; children, Shelly Moore, Michael (Kimberly) Garringer, Bryan Garringer, and Isaac Garringer; grandchildren, Mikaela (Chris), Kenzee, Natalie, Owen, and Adalyn. Also surviving are his siblings, Sharon (Larry) Foster, Pam Dodge, Sally (Mitchell) Livesay, Penny (Ron) Hall, Sheri Lynn Holliday, and David Davis; step-father, Joe Davis, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Garringer; and mother, Dorothy Davis.
