Francis H. “Frank” Wegman, 83, passed away on October 3, 2021, in Marion.
Frank was born on September 19, 1938, in Newark, Delaware, to the late Conrad and Clara (Hufnal) Wegman. He married the love of his life Linda (Sprinkle) Wegman on August 14, 1960. They shared 61 years together. Frank completed 3 years of ministry at Marion College. He worked at Wesleyan Headquarters, and then went on to spend the last 30 years of his career at the World Gospel Mission in printing and publication. Frank was the Chief of Civil Defense, in Marion. He attended Lakeview Wesleyan Church. Frank was a hardworking man, who had a true passion for building things. There was never any slacking going on when he was around. If there was work to be done, you just did it. His children all grew up to be hard-working and successful people, they say that he would work circles around them and that he was always their inspiration. When the children were younger, he would take them on family vacations and take them camping. For as long as they can remember, Frank would rattle his false teeth at them to be funny. He also liked to scare them with a scary mask and laugh about it. Frank was a good Christian man. He was a faithful husband and a good provider. He enjoyed going to coffee shops every morning.
Frank endured a lot of physical pain in his legs due to a childhood sickness. He would never complain and would fight right through it. Nothing could stand in his way, even when the pain was too much for him to handle, he would walk on his hands to give his legs a break. Frank went on a missions trip to Africa for three weeks and helped build a hospital there.
Frank is survived by his wife, Linda Wegman, Marion; children, Douglas (Mary) Wegman, Knoxville, TN; Gary (Nancy) Wegman, Marion; Donald (Anita) Wegman, Marion; Frank T.
