Francis “Carole” Myers, of Hanoverton, age 75, died at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at her home. She was born March 31, 1939 in Salineville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clyde and Nellie (Lambert) Ferguson. She was a graduate of Salineville High School and Business College in East Liverpool. She worked for 32 years in the Probate Court, and the last 12 years she was the Chief Deputy in Lisbon for Judge Ashley Pike and Judge Charles Tobin. She was Village Clerk in Hanoverton for 13 years. A member and secretary of the PERI chapter, a local division of Public Retirement System, a secretary of Carrollton Chapter OES #315 for 53 years. She was the past district president of district 13 of the Ohio Eastern Star. In 1997 she was appointed district 13 Deputy Grand Matron. She was a 55 year member of the Presbyterian Church in Hanoverton and was the current church treaurer and former elder and deacon of the Church. She is survived by her husband, James C. Myers whom she married January 31, 1959 in the Bethel Presbyterian Church. A son, James Edward Myers of Guilford Lake; two sisters, Donna (Butch) Manfull of Kensington, and Doreen (Wayne) Smith of Lisbon; two brothers, Elbert (Jane) Ferguson of Malvern, and Clyde Ferguson of Kensington. Preceded in death by two sisters, Louis Stepanic and Fern Ferguson; and brother, Phurriott Ferguson.
