Francis Anthony Wierzbowski, 74, of Chicopee, MA died after a brief battle with an illness on February 13, 2015 at Baystate Medical Center with all of his children by his side.
“Frankie” was born to the late Anthony Wierzbowski and Dorthea (Monat) Wierzbowski on November 14, 1940 at Ludlow Hospital.
Having been born with Optic Nerve Atrophy, he never let that hold him back. He was raised in the Springfield area with his 3 brothers and 1 sister. He graduated from the former Springfield Trade High School in 1960 with a degree in Foods and Catering. He worked for over 30 years on the 3rd shift at Gus & Paul’s until their closing in 2013 before that he worked in a bakery in Westfield. In his free time, he enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams: New York Yankees, New York Giants, and the UCONN Women’s Huskies.
He will be missed by all that know him including his children, Ronald Wierzbowski and his wife Miranda of Granville, Jaclyn Giannangelo and her husband Jeffrey of North Attleboro, and Jessica Wierzbowski of Northampton; his grandchildren, Ronald Jr. of Texas, Jayzon, Jaxzon, Jenzen, and Jerzen all of North Attleboro, and lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
