Beloved husband of Kathleen Rosenstiehl, father of Michael Shaffer, Nicholas Shaffer, Tony Martin-Rosenstiehl, Danielle (Rosenstiehl) Arenivas (Alan), Ashleyy Shaffer and grandfather of Lilliana Arenivas. He is the son of Cora Borham Rosenstiehl. He was predeceased by his father Francis J. Rosenstiehl, and is the stepson of Sylvia Rosenstiehl. He is survived by siblings Elizabeth Ghazarian, Alicia Mauer and Melissa Silvers (Tim), and by step-siblings Jean O’Brien (Joe), John McCaffrey and Kathryn McCaffrey. A graduate of Interboro High School and a lifelong resident of Delaware County, he was known for his sense of humor and willingness to help others in need. He was also very fond of his dog Max, who was his constant companion.
