Frances ZunigaAge 76 of Flint passed away Monday, May 13, 2019 at McLaren-Lapeer.Funeral mass will be held 11 am , Friday, May 17. 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church-Ovid. Burial will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery in St. Johns. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home-Owosso on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm; Thursday from 4 to 8 pm; with the rosary Thursday at 7 pm.Frances was the daughter of Luciano and San Juana (Castillo) Garcia, born in St. Johns, Michigan on June 14, 1942.She graduated from Elsie High School. Frances married the love of her life David Zuniga on April 25, 1964 in Bannister, Michigan. He predeceased her on May 5, 2001.Frances worked alongside her husband as the office manager at Zuniga Concrete Company in Lennon for years.She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Flint.Frances loved trips to the casino and traveling in general – living out of a suitcase; wherever she laid her hat she called home. Her life was centered on her family, as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother.Frances is survived by her daughters, Adelita Zuniga and Suzanne (Victor) Perez; grandchildren, Alissandro, Enrique, Selena, Liliana, Noelia, Isabela and Valentina; her beloved Berkley; brothers, Mersed Garcia, Robert Garcia and Randolph Garcia; sisters, Christina Roldan and Eva Zuniga; special God-daughter, Francine Garcia;son-in-law, Alejandro Lemus; nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.Online condolences may be sent to the family at Nelson-House.com.
