Frances Wilberg, age 94 of Fenton, passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona.

Frances Lucille Wilberg was born in Eagle Grove on May 7, 1925 to Harvey and Elizabeth (Wickerink) Long. Charles and Mathilda Halverson adopted her after her mother died when she was 2 years old. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hardy. Charles died when she was 5 years old. Mathilda married Albin Nelson when Frances was 9 years old, moving the family to Fenton. She was confirmed in the Blakjer Lutheran Church at Seneca, and graduated from Fenton High School in 1942. Frances was united in marriage to Henry Wilberg on October 2, 1944 at the Blakjer Lutheran Church.

She was close to her family and enjoyed her church work. She worked as an interior decorator through Dean Kienitz and later on her own. She worked at Exceptional Opportunity in Burt, where she retired at the age of 74. Left to cherish her memories are her sons Vernon (Jane) Wilberg of Sparta, Wisconsin and Dennis (Connie) Wilberg of Lone Rock; grandchildren Vaughn (Laura) Wilberg and children Nolan and Elliott, Valerie (Jay) Van Guilder and son Spencer, Joshua (Billie) Wilberg and children Skylar and Mackenzie, and Abby (Kevin) Wilson and children Jaylin, McKinley and Mariah; step grandchildren Mike (Ann) Heath and David (Leigh) Heath, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Henry Wilberg and brother, Kenneth Halverson.
