Frances Christina (Weindel) Briggs, 91, wife of the late Attorney Walter David Briggs, passed away on Wednesday, February 25th at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Warwick, RI, she was the daughter of the late Paul J. and Josephine C. (Linden) Weindel. Frances had lived in Higganum for over forty years and in Middletown for over ten years. She worked as the secretary for her husband’s law firm. Frances was a member of the Higganum Senior Center and loved reading and traveling. She is survived by three brothers, Frederick James Weindel of East Greenwich, RI, Ralph E. Weindel and his wife, Sandra of West Rutland, VT and Andrew S. Weindel and his wife, Betty of Warwick, RI and many nieces and nephews.
