Frances Mae Sharp, 79, was born December 14, 1940 Cleveland, OH but raised in Selma, AL, she went home to be with the lord on August 3, 2020 at Majestic Care Nursing Home. A member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and Retired from The Ohio State University. Frances loved watching her boys, she would say “My Buckeyes” and smile.  As her illness progressed every football team on TV was her Buckeyes.  She was sweet and sassy with the perfect last name and she wore it well.  Frances never had the joy of having children of her own but loved their company and always willing to give them anything they wanted. She loved KFC chicken and coleslaw but would rather have Honey Nut Cheerios over everything. She enjoyed talking to her family about current events and the good ole days. Frances also enjoyed the Casino and left each time saying “I’m never going back.” You had to know her to understand her sense of humor and she was sarcastic and comical always saying “I don’t like” when something was not right.

Preceded in death by Parents Louis and Sadie Polnitz Huey, Husband Theola Sharp; sisters Louise (Edmond) Peoples, Natalie Woodford, Bessie Huey, Lillian Huey.

Survived by Sister Barbara (Clyde) King, nieces Michelle L Peoples, Latonia Feagin, nephews Edmond (Joyce) Peoples, John Woodford, Clyde & Marquice King, Lorenzo Sharp, Favorite Cousin Betty Wade, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
