Frances Grevish, 87, of Greensburg died Saturday, April 15, 2017 at St. Anne Home, Greensburg.
She was born February 6, 1930 in Iselin, PA, a daughter of the late Samuel and Anna Kutlar Pelchar.
Frances was a graduate of Saltsburg High School where she played basketball, baseball, and table tennis. She was a former member of St. Matthew Parish, Saltsburg and sang in the church choir. At St. Matthew Parish she belonged to the Sodality and the Ladies Rosary Altar Society and helped the nuns teach Catechism. After her marriage to her beloved husband John E. “Rev” Grevish, she relocated to Greensburg and became a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. She graduated from Seton Hill University with a certification in Education. She last worked for the Commonwealth of PA as a Hearing Stenographer. After her retirement, she was a substitute teacher at the Sacred Heart School in Jeannette and Aquinas Academy in Greensburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Mike Pelchar and Samuel Pelchar, Jr; and sisters, Bertha Prymak and Helen Moonis.
Frances is survived by her sister, Elizabeth O’Bradovich of Murrysvile; also, several nieces and nephews.
