Melbourne, FL -Frances P Schroeder, age 102, went to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2018 and, befittingly, was also reunited with her loving husband, Dick (Richard H Schroeder).
Frances was born in Montclair, N J to Augustino and Maria Sutera. She is survived by sons, Richard H Schroeder Jr and James A Schroeder, daughter, Susan J Waldron and seven grandchildren and fourteen beloved great grandchildren.
Frances met Dick in the mid 1930’s while working at the same insurance company in Newark, N J. After they were married they moved to Long Island and lived in Baldwin and Oceanside, N Y. In the twilight of their 78 years of marriage they moved to central Florida to be closer to family and enjoy the warmer climate.
Raised during the Depression with limited means, Frances, routinely turned obstacles into opportunities. Her self-taught skills included the production of mouthwatering Italian/ American meals and delicacies, becoming an accomplished seamstress and master of copious arts and crafts. Her beautiful meticulously crafted creations and works of art have been lovingly gifted to family and friends over the years and are dearly cherished by all.
Her loving, caring and generous ways have endeared her to many. Frances, as a consummate wise and compassionate role model, attracted and counseled many people seeking support and encouragement to overcome life’s challenges.
We are extremely grateful to our Lord for enriching our lives through life and works of our beloved Frances.
