FRANCES MARIE “FRENCHIE” MARTINEZ, 55, lifelong resident of Deming went home to be with her Lord Tuesday June 6, 2017.
Frenchie, as most knew her was born March 24, 1962 in Deming to Victor and Martha “Marcy” (Dodds) Montano. She graduated from Deming High School and over the years worked at several different jobs around Deming. Frenchie was a free spirited person who even though difficulties came her way she always looked to the positive things in life and kept her faith. She loved to dance, spend time with her family and friends, play bingo, and stop in at a casino when she had the chance. Frenchie was especially proud of her grandchildren, they always made her day better.
She is survived by her sons, Leo Martinez III of California, Jesse Martinez (Jessica) of Arizona; her parents, Victor “Chapo” Montano Sr. and Martha “Nana” Montano of Deming; brothers, Ruben Montano, Victor Montano Jr., and Victor Montano III of Deming; sister, Victoria Montano of Deming; and her 11 grandchildren. Frenchie was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Jo Martinez, brother, Tommy Montano, and grandson Michael Max Martinez.
