Frances Marie Kubala Morgan, passed away on Dec. 16, 2015 from complications of lung cancer. She will be deeply missed.
If there were a most interesting “Woman of the World” contest, Fran would win it. Commonly known as “Cookie” in her home town, she was born in East Bernard, Texas in 1943. At a young age, Cookie was an expert pianist and baton twirler and then went on to be homecoming queen and graduate as salutatorian of her high school class. Fran went to the Honors Program at the Univ. of Texas and later achieved a Masters in Psychology, graduating summa cum laude.
While simultaneously raising three children, Fran started her employment as a temp-secretary. Incredibly, she earned her way to President of the same company.
