Frances Lucille (Rizzo) Sarosinski, 93, of Dalzell, died peacefully at 10:15 PM Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.
Frances was born February 13, 1924 in LaSalle to Anton and Rose (Balsamo) Rizzo. She married Edward Sarosinski on April 24, 1944 at Holy Rosary Church in LaSalle.
Frances was a member of St. Thomas More Church and the Altar and Rosary Society while being active at many social events. She worked at Peru Radiator in the 1950’s and 60’s. She was an avid fan of doing word-search puzzles, watching game shows on television, and playing bingo and card games.
Frances also enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball games and was an excellent Italian cook, making authentic food from homemade recipes.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Leonard) Arenz of Streator; two grandchildren, Jeff Arenz of Murray, KY and Kristi (Jeremy) Pabian of Seneca; one great-grandson, Connor Pabian; two brothers, Sal (Max) Rizzo of Dalzell and Tony (Kathy) Rizzo of LaSalle; one sister, Jeanne Pryde of Conroe, TX and many nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Linda Sarosinski; one sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Emil Kotar; brother-in-law, Ronald Pryde, and nephew, Blake Rizzo.In lieu of flowers, dedicate Masses in her honor at Illinois Valley Catholic churches or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
