Frances Lucille (Dittle) Pohar, 79, of LaSalle, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at St. Margaret’s Health, Peru with her daughter and son by her side.
Frances was born January 3, 1943 in Chicago to John William and Lucille (Capponi) Dittle. She was the youngest of three children. Fran married Ron Lee Pohar on July 8, 1967. He passed away on March 16, 2006.
Frances was a graduate of St. Mary’s School of Nursing as an LPN. She continued her education and earned her RN degree from Illinois Valley Community College. She was employed at Care Inn for 30 years.
Frances enjoyed helping others, especially her sister-in-law and niece in their time of need. She enjoyed reading and doing puzzle books, visiting friends and family and watching her great-granddaughter play sports.
Frances is survived by her son, Ron L. (Victoria) Pohar and her daughter, Dawn Pohar; granddaughters, Brandi Pohar and Morgan (Mario) Carretto; grandson, Joseph Ellena; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Lowery; brother, Jerry (Linda) Dittle; and two sisters-in-law, Tina (John) Dittle and Christine (Robert) Pohar. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald; brother, John Dittle; brothers-in-law, Robert Pohar and Donald Pohar and sister-in-law, Maureen Pohar.
She will be missed by many friends and family from the Capponi, Dittle, and Pohar families.
