Frances Luella Gerhart, 82, of Boerne Texas, went to our Lord and Savior on December 26, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas after a sudden illness. Frances was born in Winters, Texas to Charles and Elizabeth McSwain on June 28, 1932. She graduated from Winters high school in 1950. After graduation, she then married her high school sweetheart Jack Gerhart who was in the United States Navy. The couple was then stationed on the West Coast where they started their family and were blessed with two sons Fred and David. While in California, Frances started a retail career with Cornet variety stores and was quickly promoted to assistant manager. The family returned to Texas in 1961 and Frances continued her career in retail for another 20 years with Handy Andy. Frances enjoyed movies, traveling, camping, playing dominos, and spending time with her family. She was an avid and loyal Spurs fan. Frances is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Elizabeth, brother Charles McSwain, and husband Jack Gerhart. Frances is survived by her son Fred Wayne Gerhart; son David Dean Gerhart; and the daughter she never had but quickly accepted as her own, Stella (Betty) Elizabeth Kramer-Gerhart.
