Frances Lillian Gwynn Vermillion, 77, Anderson, went to be with her Lord & Savior on January 22, 2004 at St. John’s Health System after an extended illness.

She was born June 21, 1926 in Anderson, Indiana, and was a lifelong Anderson resident She was a homemaker. She was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene where she was a member of the choir, past church board member and a Sunday school teacher for many years.

She was a member of Country Friends Home Economics Club. Her children, grandchildren, family and her church family brought her much joy. She was very generous to all. She received many awards for her godly service and generosity, including the Distinguished Service Award from Parkview Church of the Nazarene. She volunteered for Headscarf.

She is survived by her Six Children: Ron Vermillion & fiancee Debby Wagner of Anderson. Steve & wife Dixie Vermillion of Alexandria. Cathy & husband Larry Breeck of Kankakee, Illinois. Sharon Sheppard & fiance Alan Bennett of Anderson. Tim & wife Debbie Vermillion of Anderson. Michille & husband Mike Lemaster of Anderson. Grandchildren: Chris Vermillion & husband Brian Downs; Mark & wife Kim Vermillion; Traci Forrester; Stephanie Vermillion; Brad Breeck; Jamie Breeck; Shannon & wife Melissa Owen; Kyle Owen; Wes & wife Amber Owen; Alyssa Sheppard; Krystal Vermillion; Matt Vermillion; Chase Freeman and Sage Lemaster. Eight Great Grandchildren. Sisters: Dorothy Carter, Juanita Luce, Beverly Leakey, Donna Wells and Connie Wrin. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. Many, many special friends, extended family and beloved little doggie, Ginger. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the doctors and staff in the Critical Care Unit of St. John’s that meant so much to Frances and her family.

She was preceded by her husband whom she married at Columbus Avenue Church of the Nazarene, Kenneth Russell Vermillion. Parents: Earnest & Verla Mae Denny Gwynn. Sister: Gladys Bullard. Five Brothers: Paul Gwynn, Leon Gwynn, Elmer Gwynn, Jesse Gwynn and Rex Vermillion.
