Frances L. Winner, 95, of Linden, formerly of Nisbet Heights, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the Gatehouse. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Harold D. Winner in 1990.
Born January 30, 1924, in Trout Run she was a daughter of the late George F. and Mary E. (Trimble) Bidelspacher.
Frances was a graduate of Williamsport High School. She was a devoted member of Trinity Gospel Church and would take care of transporting the neighborhood kids to bible school. She enjoyed making crafts for bible study at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and with her friend, Doris Hoover at Trinity Gospel Church. Frances was known for baking cakes for weddings, gingerbread houses and her famous snowball cookies. Frances was also a talented seamstress and would often create quilts, quilted pillow tops and knotted pillows.
Surviving are two daughters, Fae Betron of Williamsport and Kathy Thompson (Garth) of Linden, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, John Bidelspacher and sister, Betty Johnson.
