Frances L. Chaffin Baker, 96, of Anderson, passed away on August 18, 2012 at Saint John’s Health System, Anderson after an extended illness.
She was born on November 22, 1915 in Anderson where she resided all of her life. She was a homemaker. Frances is survived by her daughters; Carolyn Gene Shinabarger of Anderson and Phyllis Newton of Anderson, grandson; Dr. Curtis Nancy Shinabarger of Evansville, IN, grandson; Mark Shinabarger of Greensburg, IN, granddaughter; Susan Shinabarger of Indianapolis, IN, grandson; Brian Newton and nephew; Bob Mary Ann Baker of Springfield, IL.
She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; Walter Chaffin, mother; Audrey Chaffin Cox, husband whom she was married to for fifty-nine years; Elmer Baker, son-in-law; Jerry Newton, grandson; Michael Newton and granddaughter; Vicki Bennett.
