Frances K. Wells (Henson), 84, of Jacksonville, died Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia.
She was born June 28, 1933, in Waverly, the daughter of Howard and Kathleen McCready Harney.
She is survived by three sons, Tom (Gretchen) Henson of Divernon, Pat (Angie) Henson of Virginia, and Jim (Lisa) Henson of Waverly; six grandchildren, T.J. (Mandie) Henson of Auburn, Chadwick Henson of Divernon, Ashley (Quintin) Lucassen of Virginia, Patrick (Amber) Henson, Jr. of Virginia; Mikia Henson of South Dakota, and Megan (Ben) Walls of Waverly; and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Bruce Alan Henson and Michael Dean Henson; brother, Howard Harney, Jr.; and sister, Edna Miers.
Ms. Wells had worked at Mobil Chemical in Jacksonville and later for Passavant Area Hospital, retiring in 2003. She enjoyed reading and traveling.
