Frances K. Coonley, 89

North Greenbush-Frances K. Coonley, just three weeks short of her 90th birthday, died Friday, October 14, 2005 at Van Rensselaer Manor after a long illness.

Born in Gardiner, NY, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Toohey and Margaret (Lalley) Toohey and wife of the late J. Harold Coonley.

She had resided in the Troy area most of her life.

Mrs. Coonley was a homemaker for many years and a care giver always. She worked in housekeeping doing ‘White Glove’ inspections at the former Leonard Hospital in Lansingburgh for 20 years.

She was a member of the Light Bearers of First Baptist Church in Troy, the Women’s Service Guild, several Lansingburgh seniors groups where she was known as an ‘instigator’ and the photographer and a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church in North Troy. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling and was always ‘there’ for anyone who needed her, with a positive outlook.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews and special friends. She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and John Toohey and a sister, Margaret Domnissey.
