Upland: Frances I. Lightle, 91, passed away at 6:48 p.m. Friday at home surrounded by family. She was born in Madison County the daughter of the late Carl and Beatrice (Stinson) Gray and Step-Father, Jesse Rogers.

Frances married Will Lightle in Wabash on February 2, 1946. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1997. Together they owned and operated the Lightle Mobile Home Park in Upland for many years. She had also been employed with Paranit Wire Cable, Marion, and Freese Printing in Upland. She was a member of the Upland American Legion Auxiliary, and the Upland United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, William “Bill” (Vera) Lightle, Hudson, Wisconsin; a daughter, Lois (Cliff) Bragg, Upland; brothers, Robert Gray, Anderson, Jerry (Michelle) Rogers, Silom Springs, Arkansas, Rick (Rita) Rogers, Upland; sisters, Jean DeCamp, Upland, Jackie (Dave) Holloway, Macy, Sandra (Roy) Hallsell, Lapel; a half-sister, Marge Cummings; five grandchildren, Nikki (Todd) Roush, Clay (Sarah) Bragg, Andy (Randi) Bragg, Kim Kreischer, Erika (Brandon) Oman; and 10 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth “Liz” Sloderbeck, and Nancy Rogers, both of Upland; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother Jack Rogers, a sister Cheralene Rhoten, and a half-sister, Marie Shore.
