Frances “Frankie” McDaniel, age 90, of Knottsville Community, Grafton, was surrounded by her family when she left this world to live eternally in the house of her Lord, Thursday, July 28, 2011. She was born November 13, 1920, in Parkview, a daughter of the late Harter and Corda (Albright) Arnold. Her husband, Glenn McDaniel, preceded her in death in 1987.
Frankie was a 1939 graduate of Grafton High School, and was retired having worked at the former Grafton Manufacturing Co. (Shirt Factory). She sang with the Voice of Hills Quartet with whom she traveled all over the United States and to foreign countries. She was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a founding member of the Paradise Cove Community Center and worked as a volunteer at the Bread of Life Mission. She was a member of the Glade Run CEO’s.
Surviving are: one stepson David McDaniel and wife Marie, of Grafton; two step granddaughters, Robin Lemmone, of Filer, Idaho, and Carla Lowe, of Grafton; one brother, Jimmy Arnold and wife Sarah, of Grafton; three sisters, Helen Moore and husband Mark, of Fairmont, Elizabeth “June” Satterfield, of Weston, and Carolyn Sessions and husband J.B. “Jay” of Grafton; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Bunner, and one brother Robert Arnold.
