Frances “Fran” McGrew, 79, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away, Friday, February 19, 2021 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
She was born in Greenville, South Carolina, on December 18, 1941, daughter of the late Ray and Hettie (Taylor) Coffey. Fran spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was united in marriage to Dan E. McGrew on November 6, 1959 in Greenville, South Carolina. Fran was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Horseshoe Bend. She loved to read and write poems. Fran enjoyed music and loved to sing. Her kittens and cats were near and dear to her heart. Fran recently retired from the Horseshoe Bend Library after working there for 13 years.
Fran is survived by her husband, Dan McGrew, Sr. of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; son, Dan McGrew, Jr. of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; daughters, Angela Ford and husband Ron of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas and Hannah McGrew of Mountain Home, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Bryce McGrew, Breanna Ford and Brezlen Ford; great grandchild, Quinn McGrew; brothers, Roger Coffey of Cleveland, Ohio and John Kesterson and wife Sharon of North Olmstead, Ohio and sisters, Gladys Kesterson and husband Rick of Altona, Pennsylvania and Judy Milner of Brunswick, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
