Frances “Fran” Dee Dickey, age 83 of Punta Gorda, Florida, formerly of Salem, Ohio passed away with her family at her side Saturday, October 20, 2018 from cancer at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
She was born April 26, 1935 in Goshen Township, Ohio the daughter of the late Frank and Irene (Frantz) Baird. Fran graduated for Goshen High School. She was the Salem City Auditor for 24 years, involved in the League of Women Voters and treasurer/secretary of Eagle Point Senior Community. Fran was a talented artist.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, William Dickey, whom she married June 22, 1958; two sons, James (Christine) Dickey and John (Cyndi) Dickey and a daughter, Elizabeth (Billy) Thompson all of Salem, Ohio. She is also survived by grandchildren, Kelly, Casey, Kevin, Jordan (Casey) Dickey, Nicholas (Karah) Fithian, William Fithian and Erika (Christopher) Stone and 4 great grandchildren.
Fran was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Baird: a daughter, Allison Fithian and a granddaughter, Olivia Thompson.
