Frances F. Finley, 99, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Redstone Highlands in Greensburg.  She was born April 12, 1918, in Terre Haute, Indiana, the only child of the late Pearl and Francis Freeman.  As a war bride, Frances moved to Harrisburg, PA where she was a devoted wife and mother.  She made an art of keeping her home and volunteered for many organizations in Harrisburg.  Her special love was volunteering at public libraries.  She started the library where her children went to elementary school in the early 1950’s.  Frances was an amazing seamstress and avid reader.  She and her husband shared a love of travel.  She was a member of Progress Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jack, and her beloved son-in-law, Gregory Lee Hricenak.  She is survived by her son, John, of California; her daughter, Kathryn “Kitty” Hricenak of Greensburg; granddaughters, Leora Kurtyka (Albert) of Newport News, VA and Stephanie Hricenak and her significant other, Omar Hidalgo of Norfolk, VA; and her great grandchildren, Ava, Trey, and Tyler Kurtyka.
