Frances “Ellen”Armes, age 76, of New Berlin, PA, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at her home. Ellen was the daughter of Paul Fields I and the late Miriam (Mason) Fields.
She was born in Grant County, Indiana on February 11, 1937 and lived in the Grant County – Upland area until moving to Pennsylvania. She married James H. “Jay”Armes on January 1, 1957, he preceded her in death on February 20, 1988.She was a homemaker, wonderful cook, and has a real passion for Jewish History.
She will be remembered for her love for the Lord.Sheattended the Mountain Road God’s Missionary Church, Penns Creek, Pa She is also survived by Two Daughters: Cathleen (Reuben) Brubaker, New Berlin, PA Alisa Gemberling, Mount Pleasant Mills, PA One Son: Christopher S. (Karen) Armes, Middlesburg, PA Two Sisters: Marcia Stoker, Arizona Pansy Kay Fields,IN One Brother: Paul J. Fields, II, Factoryville, 4 Grand Children: Shannon Armes, Michelle Gingrich, Stephanie Burr, & James Kinsey 12Great-Grand Children She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Armes in 1972 and 2grandson Christopher “Buddy” Armes and Ryan Brubaker.
