Frances Eileen Winkler, November 12, 1931 – February 1, 2021.

Mrs. Winkler was born November 12, 1931 at The Grove, the daughter of Henry Charlie Winkler and Lena Symm Winkler.  She was baptised and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church.   She married Norman Winkler December 28, 1952, at The Grove.  They moved to Belton in 1958. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran in Temple before becoming a founding member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Belton. She worked for Belton ISD as a Teacher’s Aid for more than 20 years. She was known for her devotion to her children and grandchildren. Over a span of 5+ decades she never missed a ball game or an opportunity to keep the books. She also found joy in nurturing any animal, big or small, that her children brought home. On Sundays after church, she could always be found making a full course lunch for family and friends–recipes of which will be enjoyed by generations to come.

Mrs. Winkler died peacefully Monday, February 1, 2021, in a Belton nursing home. Now she lives for all eternity with her Father in heaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Carl Winkler.

Survivors include her husband Norman Winkler of Belton; three sons, David Winkler and wife Marsha of Belton. Chris Winkler and wife Miriam of Pflugerville and Kyle Winkler of Belton; one brother Robert Winkler of Georgetown; one sister, Margie Jones of Temple; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
