Frances Elizabeth Young, 89, of Chariton, Iowa passed away Wednesday October 19, 2016 at the Circle of Life Legacy Lodge in Chariton, Iowa.
Frances was born November 10, 1926 to Finis Ely Wilhite and Lenna Faye (Fligg) Wilhite at their family farm near Batavia, Iowa. She graduated from Cambria High School.
Frances married the love of her life Jack H. Young on January 25, 1948. Frances was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She often worked at the family business Jack’s Furniture.
Frances is preceded in death by her loving husband Jack H. Young, her parents Ely and Lenna Wilhite, her nephew Brad Young and her great-niece Teale Anderson.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters Lynn (Pat) Carrico, Jane (Michael) Pillsbury, Kay Ruepke and Australian daughter Sue (Ron) Warton Crist. Brother-in-law Dick (Lucille) Young, grandchildren Melanie (Joeb) Shellenberger, Megan (Justin) Gripp, Jamie (Desiree) Pillsbury, Ashley (Adam) Clark, Charlie Pillsbury, Bevin (Dylan Allen) Pillsbury, Amy Ruepke, Travis (Christine) Ruepke and Tyler (Brandi Lawless) Ruepke. Great-grandchildren Jacob Shellenberger, Zachary Shellenberger, Miles Pillsbury, Elise Pillsbury, Hadley Clark, Jack Clark, Landon Morrow and Kroy Ruepke.
