Frances E. Montgomery, 90, of Severn died on November 9, 2011. Frances was born in 1921 in Clarksburg, WV. Frances worked for the F.C.C. during WWII. Later she was a bookkeeper for J.F. Johnson Lumber Co. in Glen Burnie and thereafter a bookkeeper for Stotts Office Supplies in Washington, DC. Frances was a very active member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Lanham, MD. She founded the Saturday Night Supper Club which continued for 30 years and later became the Lunch Bunch. Frances participated in Art Classes, enjoyed painting and was an accomplished artist. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels, was active with church fundraiser dinners, loved cooking and trying new recipes, especially French cooking. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Edward Callaway and William Callaway II; and her sister, Louise Davis. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Philip C. Montgomery; two daughters, Margaret Pindell and husband Bob, and Kathlyn Martin and husband Russ; two siblings, Kathlyn Ousey and James Callaway; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
