Frances E. Lewis, 99, of Anderson, passed away on September 13, 2020, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Chesterfield. She was born on May 18, 1921 in Elwood, IN, the daughter of Frank R. and Rosalie (Hardcastle) Anderson.
Frances was a homemaker. She was an extremely avid Pacer’s and NBA fan and also enjoyed doing geneological research on the family.
Frances was a member of the Sigma Beta Sorority Sigma Chapter for 76 years and Meadowbrook Baptist Church. Frances was also a den mother.
She is survived by her children, Dennis (Shirley) Lewis, Jefferey (Mary Jo) Lewis, Bryce (Marla) Lewis, Rosalyn Lewis, Byron “Rex” Lewis (siginificant other, Carol Padgett), Frank Lewis; special niece, Tonya Kemerly; brother, Harold (Beverly) Anderson; grandchildren, Todd (Shelly) Lewis, Mark (Michelle) Lewis, Kristen (Brad) Real, Daron (Falisha) Lewis, Troy (Dion) Lewis, Cory (Erin) Lewis, Kimberley (Michael) Shirley, Kyle Lewis, Kraig (Kate) Lewis, Brandi Helvie, Kim Bova (fiance’ Randy Gustin), Clay (Stacy) Helvie,Toby (Ashlei) Van Buskirk, Logan Lewis, Chandler (Nicole) Lewis, and Robin (Mark) Sheese; 47 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren with 2 on the way; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lysle Lewis; sister, Halcie Wimmer; brother-in-law, Charles Wimmer; brother, George Anderson; sister-in-law, Florence Anderson; great-great grandson, Zachary Lewis.
