Frances Linn Kissler, 93, passed peacefully on November 2, 2022.
Fran was a longtime resident of the Boise area who lived a full life and left the legacy of an adoring family who learned much about life and love from her.
Fran Kissler was born on July 2, 1929, in South Dakota, and spent her childhood there and in Yakima, Washington. She graduated from Washington State University and that is also where she met her husband Laurence H. Kissler.
Fran and Larry enjoyed cross-country trips with their children, skiing at Bogus Basin, and playing tennis and bridge with their friends. Larry Kissler passed in 2009. Fran is survived by daughter Laura Colson, son Jim Kissler (Camille), daughter Karen Edwards (Michael) and daughter Marlene Kissler (Eric Verzuh). She also had nine grandchildren: Scott Colson, Sara Colson, Nicole Kissler, Dawn Kissler, Julie Kissler, Jake Edwards, Monica Edwards, Dan Verzuh and Jack Verzuh, as well as four great grandchildren: Jameson, Grace, Preston , and Oliver, and two step-grandchildren, Ashley Patla and Gavin Olson.
Fran’s children are particularly grateful to the caregivers and administrators at Touchmark at Meadowlake Village who looked after her during her final 3 years in Boise.
