Mary Frances Walbaum, 98 years, of Pleasant Plains, IL died Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the Walker Nursing Home in Virginia, IL.
She was born July 10, 1909 in Pleasant Plains, IL; the daughter of George P. And Mary Smith Ferry. She married Fredrick D. Walbaum on September 10, 1929 in Springfield, IL and he preceded in death on July 30, 1970.
She is survived by a son, Tom Walbaum (wife, Lois) of Pleasant Plains; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Vala (husband, Al) of Spring, TX, Kathi Sledge (husband, Steve) of Marlow, David Walbaum (wife, Patti) of Pleasant Plains; and Sally Samara of Springfield; six great grandchildren; a great great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Barbara Jo Walbaum; a sister, Loretta Ferry; a brother, Harold Ferry; and a half brother, Ralph Ferry.
Mrs. Walbaum was a long-time farm wife and gardener.
