Forrest “Joe” Hall, 85, husband of Betsey (Griswold) Hall of 64 years, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 15, 2015.
Joe spent his entire life in the town he loved, Durham. He volunteered for many years for the Durham Fire Company, the Durham Fair and where ever else help was needed. Along with his wife, Joe is survived by three daughters, Marilyn (Mike) Greaves of Middlefield and their children, Brett and Erin (Eddy) Ortiz and a great granddaughter, Lorelai; Merri-Ellen (Roger) Boivin of Voluntown and their daughters, Megan (Jason) Schippert and Carla (Josh) Hampton; Laurie (Ralph) Gleba of Canton, MI and their sons, Mark and Michael and a son, Kenny (Lorna) Hall of Durham and their son, Tyler; his brother, Robert Hall of Durham and many cousins. The Hall family invites friends to the Durham Volunteer Fire Company located at 12 Main Street, Durham on Friday, September 18th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
