Forest Michael Collier passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2014, due to complications resulting from a surfing accident three weeks prior.

At 62 years of age, Mike was still an avid surfer and fisherman, enjoying his life in the sun and sand in Mexico. He lived an adventurous life, both beneath and above the ocean’s surface – from diving for urchin and abalone, to conquering the waves of the Pacific on his surfboard, to navigating the coastal waters by boat. He was humorous and candid, always engaging people with his stories and jokes, and his presence will definitely be missed by all.

Mike is survived by his sister Mary Beth Gilbreath, his four children, Chris Collier, Heather Collier-Davis, Lindsay Collier, and Nicole Collier, his three grandchildren, Charles Burks, Jaedon Davis, and Jocelyn Davis, as well as Rene Collier, Lindy Laing, and an extended list of family members and friends. Mike is preceded in death by his father, Forest George Collier and mother, Norma June Collier.
