Floyd N. Hanie, Jr. of Sharpsburg, GA passed unexpectedly on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the young age of 42 to begin work on the chariots of the Gods. His mechanical genius was needed to service their fleet in the clouds. He is survived by his parents Floyd N. Hanie, Sr. and Betty J. Hanie, his wife Megan McLeod-Hanie, his daughter Emily Hanie and his two stepsons Kyle and Max Godwin, of Sharpsburg, GA.
He was born on February 19, 1974 in Jacksonville, FL. A mechanic from a young age, he was often seen working on classic cars in his father’s shop. He eventually moved to Sharpsburg and started a shop of his own. His parents moved shortly after to Sharpsburg in order to be closer to their only child. The bond he shared with his parents was unbreakable. On June 22, 2014 he married Megan, the love of his life only second to Emily Grace.
Floyd was a devoted husband, father, son, friend and mechanic. He will be remembered for his quick wit and his generosity. He loved showmanship, classic hot rods, music and his family most of all. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
