Floyd Luther “Skip” Edwards, 84, of Pasadena and Middle River, MD passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday April 7, 2019 after loosing his battle to pancreatic cancer. He was born on April 1, 1935 in Bowley’s Quarters, MD to the late Nelly and Iva Edwards. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Edna Fay Edwards. He is survived by wife Dianna Delores Edwards, children Christine Edwards Plummer, Lori Ann Edwards and Teresa Edwards Miller, David Strathy, Donald Strathy, Darrell Strathy, and Deita Harris, Skip’s legacy includes 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Skip spent his early years exploring, fishing and crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay and Middle River. He remained an avid fisherman until his death having fished waters throughout the United States and Alaska. He passed on his tools and his skill tying fishing flies to his grandson. He was also a skilled woodworker creating custom benches and other items for those that he loved. In his later years, he turned those woodworking skills to creating custom boat and airplane models.
After retirement, Skip was able to travel the United States with his wife Dianna and several friends via motor coach.
