Floyd Lee Hart, age 82, passed away on Saturday, January 20th. He was born to Charles and Alice on May 24, 1935 in Meridian, ID.

He was very proud of his 8th grade education in light of how successful he was in the business world. Through his lifetime he had many successful adventures. Included in those were construction, nightclubs and horse racing.

Even though he had a bit of a brass and rough exterior, he was loved by all who knew him. People were drawn to him and became his lifelong friends.

He was stationed on USS Twining DD-540 after basic training in San Diego, CA. Then was stationed on the USS Madix.

In 1955 he married Marlene Johnson and they moved to Long Beach, CA where Floyd was stationed. After two years they returned to Boise. From his marriage to Marlene three children were born: Alan, Bret and Vicki.

His activities included golfing and horse racing. His “career” in horse racing was probably one of his favorite hobbies. It did not make him rich by any means but he enjoyed it immensely.

Floyd was preceded in death by his first wife Marlene Goldsberry and by the love of his second wife, Darlene Hart, in addition to his three brothers.

Survivors include his children; Alan Hart and wife Sheryl, grandson Austin, Bret Hart and wife Debbie, Vicki Hart and wife Carin Gholson, and Cori Hart. Also surviving from marriage to Darlene, Lonnie Hope and husband Dale. He is also survived by his sister Jennie Shipley and husband Bill.
